Ciao ciao people of the web!
Starting this guide from my Athens hotel bed with my part two, following up from Part 1 I wrote about a year ago. Every time I come to this city I feel like I have a new experience. You can just walk around here with no plans and stumble on something great every time.
However, whilst you can follow your nose and find some haunts and stores, I do have a few recommendations from this trip that I must share.
One of the best meals I had this trip was at Manàri Taverna which was recommended by many many people, and it LIVED UP TO ZE HYPE. Truly. One of the best pastas I’ve ever eaten. Beside a delectable bean dish and some fresh and crispy white Samos wine, I was in heaven.

I also found two new vintage shops I hadn’t been to before, had one of the best beef souvlakis of my life that was worth the 40 minute line wait and the jaw dropping 3.50EU price. Then there was an amazing frozen yogurt that I wished I had consumed a million times over before.
Plus it goes without saying that my hotel was ummmm - FABULOUS. Yellow was definitely the colour theme for this Athens trip, and we adore a midday check out time and a hotel location thats smack bang in the middle of everything.
Of course I was eating (hunting down) my mango ice creams and freddo cappuccinos any chance I could get along my walking expeditions. Here you can find speciality stores all the way you go and I’d stop for a lemonade here, and a dried melon piece there, or a salami and cheese shop over there.
You can siesta in your hotel during the the hottest part of the day, then waltz and eat your way around the city in the AM and PM. Shes truly a BEAUT of a city and a place that continuously shows you a nice side every time.
With love & chaos from Athina,
PM xx
Eating
This place was recommended by multiple people so I walked over around 6pm to try my luck as a walk-in. I ordered the linguine and the beans and D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S is all I have to say. You absolutely must go!
